Enhances performance with 2GB Flash-Backed Write Cache (FBWC) and provides both read and write acceleration for workloads such as databases or web pages when used with the optional HPE SmartCache. When running in HBA mode, the Smart Array P542D Controller can support Software Defined Storage applications such as Microsoft Storage Spaces and VMware Virtual SAN when configured with the HPE Synergy D3940 Storage Modules. HPE Smart Array P542D Controller offers RAID 0/1/10/5/50/6/60/10 ADM for all eight internal drives on ProLiant XL270d Server platforms.Data Protection with Encryption Capability
