The front mounting rails can be adjusted to allow for various mounting depths and to allow for additional clearance from the front door. All NetShelter Enclosures include key lockable front doors to prevent unwanted access.

Split rear doors

Split rear doors improve access and serviceability to rear of rack mounted equipment. The split rear doors help to maximize floor space. Only 11 inches (279 mm) of clearance is required behind the enclosures to allow for door swing.

UBC Zone 4 Compliant

NetShelter VX Enclosures are UBC (Uniform Building Code) Zone 4 compliant if used in conjunction with the APC bolt down bracket kit (part # AR8112BLK).

Door ventilation exceeds 830 in2 (5355 cm2)

Adequate ventilation is required for proper operation of today's servers. NetShelter Enclosures include fully perforated front and rear doors to provide ample ventilation for servers and networking equipment. The perforation pattern provides 844 square inches of open area on the front door, exceeding requirements set forth by major server manufacturers. Although this ventilation pattern provides adequate cooling for most configurations, air-moving accessories such as the Schneider Electric Air Distribution Unit and Air Removal Unit are also available to support higher heat density applications.

Rolls through a 2 meter doorway

APC has made installation fast and easy by designing the SX enclosure such that it rolls through standard 2 meter doorways. This feature does not apply to the 48U versions of the SX.

Overhead cable troughs and partitions install toollessly on the roof of the enclosure eliminating the need for ceiling mounted or underfloor mounted cable trays. Cable troughs and partitions are designed to manage both power and data cables while maintaining separation. Schneider Electric cooling, power distribution, and cable management products work seamlessly with IT enclosures to provide a complete infrastructure support system.

Large cable access slots in the roof provides access for overhead cable egress. The bottom design allows for unobstructed cable access through a raised floor. Perforated front and rear doors provide ample ventilation for rack-mount equipment.

Quick release doors

Front door can be moved to the opposite side or interchanged with rear doors. Doors are easily removed with simple lift-off design.
