The UltraBoard 960 V2 Compact Standard is an ergonomic keyboard designed for users who prefer a numerical keypad. It meets all ergonomic requirements and features technical enhancements such as two USB ports, multimedia keys, and hotkeys. Being 80 mm narrower than a standard keyboard, it provides a comfortable and ergonomic working experience.

Space-saving with integrated numerical keypad

The UltraBoard 960 V2 combines a compact design with an integrated numerical keypad, making it highly space-efficient. The numerical keypad, positioned on the right side, offers calculator-style efficiency for number entry. Its compactness allows for closer mouse placement, reducing shoulder, neck, and back strain for an ergonomic and healthy working posture.

Ergonomic background

The distance between the keys ranges from 18 to 20 mm (ISO 9241). The alphabetical section must be clearly separated from the function keys (ISO 9241). The middle row of keys cannot be elevated more than 30 mm above the surface of the desk (DIN 2137). The keyboard must be tiltable and separate from the screen (Council Directive 90/270/EEC). Dark letters on a clear background are easier to read (ISO 9241) and contribute to increased productivity (Snyder, 1990). The satin matt surface in a light design with dark lettering ensures the best possible avoidance of reflections and improved legibility. The light colour avoids high contrasts in the field of view and prevents premature eye fatigue.

Adjustable folding feet allow users to set the keyboard at a comfortable angle, catering to both ten-finger and non ten-finger typists.

The UltraBoard 960 V2 features a 19mm key center distance in line with DIN EN ISO norms. The concave shape of the keys matches the fingertips' contour, while the convex space bar aids orientation. These design elements help reduce typing errors and ensure efficient, precise typing.
