Product features
Cost Effective and Simple to Deploy
Aruba 387 Series Outdoor Access Points dramatically simplifies deployment compared to other point-to-point solutions. IEEE 802.11ad allows the autonomous formation of links. A coarse alignment of the radios is done and then the link is intelligently adjusted for optimal performance by both ends. If heavy winds were to move the APs, the link would intelligently self-adjust without the need to send skilled resources to realign them.High Reliability with Intelligent Fallback
A unique feature of Aruba 387 Series Outdoor Access Points is its dual radios: a 5GHz 802.11ac radio along with a high-performance 60GHz 802.11ad radio. The dual radio in good conditions provides a boost in throughput. When weather conditions warrant it, the AP intelligently falls back to the 5GHz radio.Purpose-Built for Outdoor Deployments
Purpose-built to survive in the harshest outdoor environments, the Aruba 387 Series Outdoor Access Points can withstand exposure to extreme temperatures changes and persistent moisture and precipitation. The access point is sealed to keep out airborne contaminants. All electrical interfaces include industrial strength surge protection.Key selling points
